War Seems Definate

Pegasus has long been able to stay away from much conflict over the past decade or so with the few offensive actions being done by Special Forces. However as of last night this moment of peace is likely to stop.

11:00 p.m. - Residents along the Markham City border, located right beside the national border that separates Pegasus and Tartarus, were awaken by a massive explosion. The deafening sound came from an MOAB type missile landing on a Pegasiian military outpost along the border. The city alarm was sounded immediately and residents began rushing instantly towards the nearest shelter.

11:30 p.m. - It's a scene of chaos in Markham, there have been reports of enemy tanks and soldiers pushing through the break in the defense line along the border caused by the first attack. Local police forces are on scene to ensure the area is evacuated. We have received reports that the Queen has been alerted of the situation and that our army is mobilizing.

11:50 p.m. - Most of the locals have been safely evacuated. The army has arrived on scene and can be seen heading towards the zones now controlled by the invading force. The air force has already began bombing their positions. Meanwhile, the order has been given to troops along the border to invade Tartarus.

Battle Report:

Jerry: Sharon is live on the scene right now and will be telling us how things are in Markham, Sharon?

Sharon: Its a thrilling spectacle to behold Jerry, its 3 in the morning and the sunlight is just right for us to see exactly what is going on. Just now our air force shot down 44 of their aircraft with 0 casualties and ground forces are getting ready to push forward. I am also being told that the commanding officer of our forces stationed on location in Markham just sent a Special Ops unit across the border and they succeeded in cutting off the gasoline that is crucial to the enemy's attack efforts. Without that key component, It is expected that the war will come to an end by tomorrow however further reports are coming in that this act of aggression has infuriated the Queen and that she is ordering a full-scale mobilization of both active and reserve troops. It seems we may engage in a prolonged conflict very soon however as of yet there has been no official declaration of war. Back to you Jerry.

For those of us watching, the Palace have just issued a State of Emergency for the Markham province and all of its populace will be forced to relocate to one of the other provinces, it is being asked that you greet them with a welcoming spirit as they are pegasiian's just like you and it is asked that if you can, offer them a place to stay even if its just for one night. In a time as this we are to be as one, united for a common cause and a simple deed as this can go a long way.
