Director of the Imperial Guard, Sarah Williams, inspects police honor guard before the Queen's arrival.

Queen Shannakay, accompanied by the Imperial Guard, ended her 1st official royal visit to Gotham and Markham Yesterday, August 27, 2025. The royal visited the city for her very first time since being crowned Queen and was present for the grand opening of the new cross country Highway named after her. The tour lasted four full days.

Day 1:

The Queen got a rainy but warm welcome as she arrived in Gotham on August 24.

She received a round of applause as she addressed a rain-soaked crowd near the Gotham military base. "I'm delighted to be among you all," the Queen said. "My pride in this city remains undimmed. Thanks very much for your welcome. It is good to be at home."

The Queen then visited the nearby Gordon Street, to take part in a multi-national cultural event and could be seen walking in the midst of the parade to the delight of all onlookers.

The parade displayed many different cultures from many nations. Other than the magnificent display of Pegasus's culture, the most notable was that of Pegasus's long standing trading partner, Costa Rica.

Day 2:

The Queen inspected dozens of submarines and warships anchored in Gotham Harbor, as part of the celebration marking the navy's 1st anniversary. On board SSQ Mikaelson, she led the International Fleet Review, which included ships from eight countries.

Later in the day, she presented a plaque commemorating SSQ Jacksonville, a Second World War corvette that escorted convoys and attacked submarines and is now a museum. She also saw fly-passes by Gotham's famous Elitas, as well as an international aerial contingent.

To many onlookers surprise, the SSQ Shannakay aircraft carrier and its battle group eased into port in the evening and was inspected by the Queen and the Director of the Imperial Guard.

It had been a year since the elite fleet had been in Pegasiian waters and this sudden appearance came as a shock to many making it the talk of the day on all social media platforms.

Day 3:

The Queen and her sister, Princess Brianna arrived in Markham August 26 for a two-day visit, including Pegasus's National Day (P.N.D.). It was the first time Queen Shannakay has been outside of the capital city for the big national celebration.

The Markham Museum of Nature was closed to the public during the Queen's first visit on August 26. She unveiled a plaque dedicating The Queen's Lantern, a large glass addition to the museum replacing its original tower lighting.

The Queen then joined locals in participating in the national ceremony and saluted the passing veterans of the army as 157,000 people gathered on Kendall Hill to celebrate Pegasus's 23rd birthday.

"This nation has dedicated itself to being a caring home for its own, a sanctuary for others and an example to the world," she said.

Day Four:

Forty thousand citizens gathered at the Markham National Arena on, August 27, to bid the royals farewell. The two attended a series of events that culminated in an official departure ceremony - complete with a 51-gun salute on the Arena's open field.

The Queen unveiled a plaque commemorating the 1st official anniversary of the dedication of the Arena, which was renamed, Queen's Park, by the local mayor and his cabinet, before she waved her final good bye.

The Queen, Princess Brianna and Director Williams boarded IAF One shortly after.

The royals and the guard departed Markham for Shannakay City shortly afterwards. As 'Imperial Air-force One' lifted off the runway, the crowd cheered with excitement and the soldiers on the ground fired a final gun salute. Queen Shannakay later arrived at the Imperial Palace.
