Today government officials will be meeting within the Queen's Lanuer ( House of Politics ) to vote on a new foreign affairs policy. As this will be the first reading of the bill, the Queen will not be present in the meeting as It has to be passed first before it can be presented to the Her Majesty. This system was set up a few years ago to ensure only the final drafts of a bill reaches the Imperial Palace. This is to allow the Queen to have more time to carry out other duties and personal activities. The public is also not allowed to know much about the bill until its second reading. However there has been a leak which suggests that the bill is there to finalize a long lasting debate over our relations with our closest neighbor who has (reportedly) requested that our nation help them resolve their civil war.

Possible coarse of action

It has been sometime since civil war broke out in Erusea. As our neighbor, trade partner and ally, our borders were open to refugees displaced by the conflict. However our military was not providing any support for either side. 

A few days ago, a diplomat from Erusea arrived at the Imperial Palace with a call to arms request from the current Erusean government asking the queen to mobilize her forces and join the war. The request was postponed however as there was no immediate reason/benefit for doing so as border tensions between Pegasus and another nation were already growing day after day and if a war broke out along that border while the army was fighting in the civil war, it would give the attacking nation an easier path to our capital. 

We cannot just get up and go to their aid. As much as we would love to, we have to weigh the options and the risks. - Director Williams Imperial Guard Director.
